Hello all,

Wanting to prod our centurion into organizing some regional war practices.
Some of us in Arenal are wanting to get a moving practice started scheduled for every 6th weekend or so.
Sound of with any ideas.

Godric,
Be careful what you wish for.
Ok, since you asked.....

Would you be so kind as to coordinate a meeting of the Century at Crown List. It would be great if a representative from the Gulf Coast groups and Households down there be present for the meeting. I think it is a great idea .This will of course be an informal meeting and we can come up with the schedule for war practices.
It has been suggested that the coast come up with a mighty Shield Wall and at least get to Gulf Wars and to Panhandle where at both we can really use you. I think with the talent that is down there, there is nothing you all cannot accomplish together as a force ( Osprey, Arenal, Pheonix Glade, and the Households that populate those groups).

Unfortunately many of us did not get this message till well after Crown List. Maybe we can coordinate something again. A good number of use in Arenal have pressed ahead and formed the Emerald Coast Company, Western Cohort, 2nd: Meridies Heavy Infantry. We are well on are way building a battle flag, pennants, mantles, wardoors and spears. If you want to be a part of this grand endeavor please contact me. Domingo De Leon is coordinating with members of the other groups for work days to help them get thier lances up and running. If Thringill would like to be a part also we would be glad to make a weekend trip up there and help get you all organized/equipped. Fred is writing a manual with Sir Stuart's assistance and Greg is knocking out all our silkscreening for the banners and pennants. I am designing the banners and pennants and coordinating all the projects. Our plan is to have 10 Arenal, 5 Osprey, 5 Phoenix Glade and 5 Thorngill on the field at Border Raids if possible. Thats 5 lances each with a sargeant and a general composition of 3 wardoors plus 2 polearms. The concept is to have polearm pair who work together with one person hooking while the other kills. Therefor one of the polearms could be a hammer, glaive, axe etc... The other concept is that we plan to fight closer to the enemy to get the shield wall in range to swing/hook also. We plan to keep one lance in reserve to exploit holes we create in the enemy line. Baron Edward we would really like Thorngill involvement in the Emerald Coast Company so that the whole cohort can fight together. Let me know this week if you thing this is possible because I plan to finish the battle flag with the group devices of all who are part of the company.

Vivat Meridies!!!!
