hello, I am new to the sca and rapier combat (still working on getting my gear to get authorized). I saw on a forum that the meridian army would include rapier. So I am just curious if that has begun yet or not, or if it even will be. I may be new but am very enthusiastic and a very fast learner. Thus i am anxious to get involved in the deFENCE of Meridies.

Absolutely!
We had a good number of fencers at Gulf Wars in 2008, we are hoping to greatly increase that number this year. Our units moved well, penetrated the enemy line, and rolled them up. We have great coordination and teamwork. I hope you have a good fencing group to train with. We are also organizing fencers to join with the heavies for the ravine and the field battle as spears. We do a durn good job of making their line bleed.
